Which option to book
El Ranchito Torremolinos tickets and options
Show only, with a stable visit, or with dinner and flamenco: what an El Ranchito ticket covers, how to choose, and how it compares with a flamenco-only night.
Reserve a place at the show ↗Quick answer
Pick the horse and flamenco show alone if the riding is what you want, add the guided stable visit if you like to meet the horses first, and take the dinner option only for a long Andalusian evening that carries on with flamenco at a restaurant. Reserved on GetYourGuide, any option can be cancelled without charge up to a day ahead. Carry cash: the bar and shop do not take cards.
What El Ranchito is
El Ranchito is an equestrian centre at Senda del Pilar 4 in Torremolinos, on the Costa del Sol in Málaga province. Its show puts Spanish horses and their riders in an arena for dressage and cowboy-style riding, with a flamenco dancer sharing the sand in one of the numbers. Doma vaquera, the cowboy-style tradition, is described by Spain's equestrian federation as a series of exercises taken from work with cattle, and UNESCO has listed flamenco as intangible heritage since 2010. The activity provider on the ticket is Ritmo a Caballo. Torremolinos itself was the first of the Costa del Sol resorts to be developed.
The ways to book it
The ticket page offers several options, and they fall into three kinds. The booking calendar shows which are on sale for your date, and each option gives its own length, which runs from about an hour and a half to around five hours in total. Start times and pickup details differ between options, so choose the option first and the date second. Pricing and exact inclusions are on the booking page, which is also the only reliable source for what is on sale this week.
- The horse and flamenco show on its own, in a covered area at the equestrian centre
- The show with a guided visit of the stables before it, which comes with priority seating
- The show followed by dinner and a flamenco show at a restaurant a few kilometres away, with drinks at dinner
Show only: who it suits
The show-only ticket suits most people who simply want to watch the horses. You sit in a covered area, and a stair-free zone on the ground floor, protected by safety glass, is set aside for guests with reduced mobility. It is also the easiest option to fit around your own dinner plans in Torremolinos or Benalmádena, because you eat wherever you like afterwards. If you travel with young children, this is the version to start with, since you can decide about a long dinner later and the ticket stays free to cancel until 24 hours ahead.

The stable visit: worth adding?
The guided stable visit is a short tour of the stables with a guide who explains how the horses are trained, and it comes with free priority seating, so there is no scramble for a good view afterwards. The catch is logistics. If you choose it, you travel to the centre by your own means and arrive earlier than for the show alone, and the booking page states the arrival deadline. Choose it if you like horses and want the background to what you are about to watch. Skip it if you are relying on a coach pickup or have a tight day. Guests who took it often single out the guide's knowledge.
What the dinner option adds
The dinner option moves from the equestrian centre to a restaurant a few kilometres away. Dinner comes with drinks from a buffet table, among them beer, wine, sangria, soft drinks and water, and a flamenco show follows. A children's menu exists, and guests with food intolerances or allergies are asked to tell the organiser at least 24 hours ahead. Guests who review the evening are warm about the horses and riders and more mixed about the dinner, with some wanting better food and larger portions. If dinner matters to you, weigh that. If you want one long, social evening with nothing else to book, the option does that job.
Flamenco only, in town
If the horses are not what you came for, Torremolinos has flamenco-only shows too. One sold through the same booking site is a taberna show of about 90 minutes with a drink, or a bottle of Spanish wine for two to share. Its room is up a flight of stairs with no lift, so wheelchair users cannot visit, while the horse show keeps a stair-free zone. They are different evenings: one is a spectacle with animals in an arena, the other a small room with song, guitar and dance near your table, and it can also be cancelled free until 24 hours ahead.

Getting there and back
The centre's address is Senda del Pilar 4, 29620 Torremolinos, and there is parking on the premises, so a car or a taxi is the simplest way in. Torremolinos lies about 13 km from Málaga and is served by the A-7 motorway and the Cercanías commuter train, and Málaga airport is close by, on the Málaga side of town. Some options include a coach pickup from the main resort areas, but pickup belongs to the option you choose, so confirm it on the booking page before relying on it. After the dinner option, the staff can call a taxi on request.
On the day: heat, cash and photos
Go in to the ticket office on arrival and redeem your physical or digital ticket, and come early to avoid queues. In summer the arena has fans and misting systems and in winter no heating, since the horses must not be exposed to air conditioning or heaters, so dress for the day. The bar and shop take cash only, in small notes. Photos and video are fine without flash. The centre has Wi-Fi, handy if your ticket is on your phone. If you are staying in Benalmádena or Málaga, agree a return plan before you leave, since your confirmation, not a timetable, tells you when the evening starts.
Who this isn't for
Anyone with an animal allergy should stay away: the ticket lists people with animal allergies as excluded. Skip it as well if you want an intimate flamenco room without animals, need air conditioning, or expect a dinner cooked to order. Guests who mention the seats call them basic, so long evenings suit people who are happy on simple chairs. If watching animals perform is not for you, a flamenco-only show makes the better night.
Booking and cancelling
Reserve through GetYourGuide and any option can be cancelled with a full refund up to a day before the start, with payment due later if you wish. Choose a date in the calendar and an option, and your confirmation then shows the start time and any pickup details. Tickets bought elsewhere carry that seller's own terms. The host languages are listed as English, Spanish, German and French, and the riding, music and dance need no translation.
Frequently asked questions
How long is the El Ranchito show?
It depends on the option. The booking page gives each option's length, which runs from about an hour and a half to around five hours for the show, dinner and flamenco together. Check the option before you plan transport or a table elsewhere.
Is dinner included in the ticket?
Only with the dinner option. The show-only and stable-visit options do not include food, and the bar and shop at the centre take cash only. The dinner option includes drinks at the meal, and a children's menu is available.
Can I cancel an El Ranchito ticket?
Yes. On GetYourGuide any option refunds the whole fare if you cancel at least a day ahead, and a seat can be held with nothing paid at first. Tickets from other sellers carry their own conditions.
Is it suitable for children?
The ticket sets no age limit among its restrictions, and the dinner option has a children's menu. Because the full evening is long, families with young children may prefer the show alone.
Is the arena air-conditioned?
No. The covered arena has only fans and misting systems, with no air conditioning in summer and no heating in winter, because the horses cannot be exposed to either. Dress for the weather of the day.
Can I take photos?
Yes, photos and video are allowed, but always without flash. Keep your phone on silent and your flash off, so the horses and performers are not distracted.
